We're an independent charity, and our services are free. Our team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide specialist care and support for local people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home. We provide care throughout a patient’s illness, so they achieve the best possible quality of life. This includes end of life care, helping them to achieve a good death. We're a charity mainly funded by local people. Together we need to raise around £4 million a year to continue to provide our services for free.

Happy !

Ahead of the global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, our patients, staff and volunteers were treated to an exclusive performance of Em Stroud - The Comic Coach's 'The Em Show' 🎭

The Em Show is an uplifting show about how being brave and taking yourself out of your comfort zone will help you discover who you really are and how from there you can do anything, a very fitting motivational message for International Women's Day.

Tying in with this year's theme - Give to Gain - Em very kindly gifted her time to the hospice, emphasising the power of supporting others in our community 💜

We all thoroughly enjoyed the show, leaving feeling equal parts inspired and uplifted. Thank you, Em!
