While happiness is something many of us value and seek, it can be helpful to remember that it is not a constant state — nor is it a measure of our worth.

Human experience is layered. Joy exists alongside sadness, confidence alongside uncertainty, ease alongside challenge. Psychological well-being is not about feeling positive at all times; it is about developing the capacity to navigate the full range of emotions with understanding and resilience.

We’re pleased to introduce the Psychotherapy Institute Clinic (P.I.C.), launching on 1st May 2026.

In this video, our Clinic Co-ordinator Gemma shares the thinking behind P.I.C. and the commitment to making longer-term psychotherapy more accessible within our local community.

P.I.C. will offer low-cost, in-room psychotherapy for residents of Bolton and Greater Manchester, delivered by advanced clinical trainees from the Psychotherapy Institute’s Level 7 training programme.

Each client will first meet with Gemma for an initial assessment and be carefully matched with a trainee psychotherapist.

🌿 We’ll be sharing more about how the clinic works and how to access the service in the coming weeks.

Today was a day of celebration as Gemma and Susie have secured a new home for our Psychotherapy Institute Clinic where we will be offering low-cost long-term psychotherapy in Bolton, Greater Manchester through our in-house trainee placement. A glimpse into our TA101 training at the Psychotherapy Institute 🧠

TA101 offers a two-day introduction to Transactional Analysis, exploring key concepts for understanding ourselves, our relationships, and how we communicate with others. The training combines discussion, experiential exercises, and reflection to bring these concepts to life in a supportive learning environment.
