🌱 Greenhouse Project Update! 🌱

As you can see from the photos, a hard day’s graft went into getting the decking near the finish line! A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in. It’s really coming together beautifully.

This week, we’ll be putting in the last nails and celebrating with a little unveiling ceremony to mark the occasion! 🎀

Stay tuned for more photos and the final reveal! We can’t wait to show off everyone’s hard work! Well done team! 🌿

Mondays at BAND 💚

Our Monday mornings at BAND are all about recovery-focused social sessions. Providing a safe, welcoming space to connect, chat, and unwind.

As you can see from our cool model Dylan 😎, we love a good cuppa and a sweet treat while we socialise! ☕ 🍰

Remembrance Sunday Reflections 🌺

In our Women’s Mental Wellbeing Group this week, we took some time to remember the soldiers who gave so much and everyone affected by WWI, WWII, and conflicts since.

We painted poppies, each one unique and full of meaning, and took turns reading a touching poem together.

Of course, there was also plenty of laughter as we played songs through kazoos - such a joyful sound filling the room!

It was a beautiful mix of reflection, creativity, and connection. A reminder of how important it is to come together to remember, share, and support one another.

🌟 Fun Friday Highlights! 🌟

Last Friday we had a fun-filled morning brainstorming new ideas for our upcoming Wednesday and Friday afternoon groups!

We also enjoyed a lively game of Charades, watched Stuart lead us through some relaxing Tai Chi moves, and took part in Dave’s mysterious quiz with no answers... 👀

What’s your favourite Friday activity? We’d love to hear your ideas!

A Visit from Dougie - Our Local PCSO 🚔👮🏿‍♂️

Yesterday at BAND we had the pleasure of welcoming Dougie, our Town Centre PCSO, who’s been serving the community for an incredible 18 years!

Dougie was knowledgeable, approachable, and full of insight. His background as a mental health support worker really showed through how attentive and understanding he was with the group.

He shared about his role in the community, and we had an open and honest Q&A on important topics like homelessness, drug use, and trauma. Which are subjects that resonated deeply with everyone in the room.

Dougie also brought along some safety gadgets for our service users, including anti-spiking drink caps and anti-theft bells. A thoughtful touch that everyone appreciated.

It was a meaningful and inspiring session, and we’re so grateful to Dougie for spending time with us and for all the work he does to keep our community safe and supported. Bolton Police - GMP

Greenhouse Project Update! 🍂

We were delighted with a surprise visit from Stuart. His first time at the Greenhouse! He also got to sample Sam’s delicious rhubarb crumble.

Work continued on the decking last week. All the boards are now secured! Just a bit of trimming and a fascia to go, and hopefully it’ll be finished tomorrow@. 🌿🔨

Will you be our next greenhouse newbie?
