Have you been for your cervical screening ( smear ) test?

Cervical screening is a quick test to check your cervix for the human papillomavirus (HPV). Attending regularly can reduce the risk of cervical cancer.

We want to let our patients know that, due to ongoing GP shortages, we are currently only able to provide urgent medical care on Friday's for the foreseeable future.

We understand this may cause inconvenience and we sincerely apologise for the disruption to routine appointments. Please know that our priority remains ensuring that those with urgent needs are seen promptly.

We will be following NHS Lothian guidelines to help protect our patients and staff against flu this winter.

We ask that if you are at the surgery and have respiratory symptoms that you wear a mask while you wait to be seen and during your appointment.

We will also encourage anyone who considers themselves as vulnerable, to wear one too. Masks will be available at the surgery.
