‘Boston Leisure Parking Update 🚗

As works progress on the Boston Leisure site there are some parking and pedestrian access changes.

New pedestrian routes have also been established for the long-term use of the site while building works are ongoing. Access to the training pool and into the clinic is via college lane

Shockwave packages are becoming very popular, especially with shoulder tendinopathy, Achilles tendinopathy, and plantar fasciitis in particular recently. Treatment with post care guidence and remedial plans has enabled clients to return to pain free every day life and sport successfully avoiding evasive treatment such as injections and surgery. Symptoms noticeably improved within the first 3 sessions, although up to 6 has been effective in resolving the problem long term.

Shockwave blasts the fibres in the area treated to promote the fibrillation of tissue. Thus stimulation of cell regeneration promotes the healing response especially targeting those deep fibres. Breaking down scar tissue and calcifications.

The demand for shockwave therapy is increasing, and I’m not surprised with chronic issues often being resolved within 3-6 weeks timeframe. It’s available here at the treatment room. In the last few months we have treated tennis elbow, golfers elbow, numerous persistent Achilles and plantar fascia problems, rotator cuff tendinopathies, a perineal tendinitis that didn’t respond to cortisone injections and even relieved Dupuytren’s syndrome. Resulting in clients avoiding invasive treatment such as cortisone injections and even surgery.

An innovative and effective evidence based treatment method. Current research shows that your symptoms don’t have to be chronic, treatment can work acutely too. It’s a non-surgical treatment where we deliver impulses of energy from the unit to the injured area. Proven to relieve pain, and promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments and other soft tissue in our body. It accomplishes this by increasing metabolic activity in the area treatment is applied, in turn stimulating cell regeneration (growth factors) in the injured tissue improving the healing response. The treatment allows to treat not just superficially as the waves can travel nice deep. The increase in blood flow to the area will also enable the body to break down present scar tissue.
