February is Low Vision and AMD (age-related macular degeneration) Awareness Month. Many conditions can cause Low Vision such as macular degeneration, diabetes and glaucoma. Although AMD/low vision is currently irreversible , it can be managed through changes in lifestyle and regualar optical appointments. Drs Mackie can provide aids such as magnifiers for FREE provided by NHS Lanarkshire.
