I've received a number of emails, from different sources, telling me that Fitter Longer has been nominated for, or even won, some spurious "business excellence" or "innovation" award. There is a free marketing package attached to the award, but (call me cynical) the real objective of these awarding companies is to sell expensive (up to £8k in one case) promotional packages. Also included in these paid-for add-ons are things like trophies and certificates. I hope nobody succumbs to these offers and 'award' notifications - in my view, any award, and publicity surrounding it, that you have to pay for is probably not worth having!
