Today I made history DESPITE my story.
I did something I've wanted to do for years and something my grandad recently guided me towards (btw he died when I was 10 just to give you an insight to the depth of magic we are talking about).
My story in regard to the garage has always been:
"I have to prove myself because I wasn't born a boy."
Today, I did something I've always wanted to do because I was guided by the heart (and an inspirational grandfather).
I knew who I wanted to show me how to do it.
I knew I was meant to do it.
I know it's where I am meant to work within the garage
AND
I did it despite the carrying an old belief that I couldn't do it because I'm female.
The result:
I made history as the first female to skim a head in the garage using the same equipment and in the same space my grandfather contributed to the building of formula 1 engines.
And now?
I will become the first female engineer at the garage.
