An Amber cold weather alert has been announced by the UKHSA

Together with the Met Office, UK Health Security Agency has issued an amber cold health alert in the south west from 8pm today (Wednesday 31 December) to 10am on Tuesday 6 January.

Cold weather is forecasted and people are being advised to take care to keep safe and warm during this cold spell. Things you can to keep warm are:

🌡️Heat rooms to 18 degrees
🪟Keep bedroom windows closed
🧣Wear lots of layers
🥫Make sure you have enough food and medicine
