My Streetscene clean time gratitude poem
I came into Streetscene 2005, broken and lost
My addiction had taken from me a heavy cost
But with their help, I found my way
And slowly, I began to see a brighter way.
Their support and guidance, a guiding light
Helped me through the darkest of nights
With open arms, they welcomed me in
And showed me a new life that with support and friendship I could begin
Through their program and a introduction to the 12 steps, I learned to cope, And slowly, I regained real hope
I found a new purpose, a new man to be,
And Streetscene became like my family.
With their help and encouragement I found a career and slowly, my future became crystal clear
I No longer need to be bound by addiction's hold
I became confident, strong and bold
So thank you Streetscene, for all you've done,
For helping in my journey to become someone,
I am forever grateful, and forever in your debt
For helping me to break free from addiction's evil net.
