🎉A Little Celebration offer!!

✨This month marks one year since I opened the doors to Pine Vale Chiropractic and welcomed the first patients into the clinic. It’s been such a rewarding year — full of learning, growth, and meeting some lovely people!

I’m incredibly grateful for all of your support, trust, and encouragement along the way. Here’s to another year of helping our community move, feel, and live better! And of course, some birthday cake! 🎂 ✨

Was this a good thing?? Mixing work and play whilst the suns out ☀️

🧭 Got a little lost. Just briefly!

In some ways this was good. Got a work task ticked off

In some ways bad. I was supposed to just be having a “mind wandering” walk.

I also ended up replying to perceived time dependant messages that needed answering..

Seemingly we have to make a real effort to protect the switch off time. And it is so important that we do..

Made me think. When was the last time you just played?! Or switched off, for no practical purpose, just enjoyment? 🌿

Without rest, everything else — from your strength to your stress levels and immune system — begins to falter.

🚘 We wouldn’t expect to be able to drive from the South coast of England to Scotland, on half a tank of fuel! But for some reason when it comes to our own capacity, we often neglect to see its limits.

🧠 Having a limit is just a FACT of physiology, but sometimes it comes laden with negative emotions such as guilt or not feeling capable enough.

🛌 Rest however, shouldn’t just be a reward but rather a foundation. Really!

🧘🏼‍♀️ Rest is not just sleep, but so much more, including physical rest, mental rest, sensory rest and emotional rest.

🌱 It allows us to reset, build and grow.

As many of you already know, as a solo practitioner I really value the importance of working with others and putting client’s needs first.

🌿I would therefore like to introduce Michelle from Body and Mind Matter. Michelle is a practitioner I trust and am very happy to recommend when I feel her expertise could really benefit a patient.

🧘🏼‍♀️ Michelle shares a very similar ethos to my own, valuing the important connection between mind and body, and always placing the individual at the centre of care. She is not only skilled but also a genuinely positive and supportive presence.

🤸 As a Pilates Teacher, Michelle offers group, but also one-to-one sessions with a focus on spinal health, back care, and mobility — which is fantastic for patients who need supervised guidance.

💆‍♀️ Alongside this, she also works as a Counsellor, Health & Wellbeing Coach, Reiki Practitioner, and Massage Therapist.

💬 “Should I stop training if I’m in pain?”

It’s one of the most common questions I get asked.
The short answer? Not necessarily.

Pain doesn’t always mean damage and stopping activity all together can often be a bit of a downward spiral.

A good clue can be how your body responds during and after the session.

✅ Mild pain during exercise (up to 3/10 on a pain scale) is often acceptable

⚠️ If it spikes, lingers, or worsens — that’s a sign to modify

❌ Total rest usually isn’t the answer — smart load management is
In fact, staying active in a controlled, progressive way often leads to faster recovery, stronger tissues, and more confidence.

Though after the:
⚡️Spinning on your head, balancing via your jaw, supporting a whole person from your own hair whilst upside down, and being spun round by the jaw acts😲

…..I am kinda glad I am not your chiropractor! 😅
