When revision feels stuck or stress takes over, the right support can change everything.

Our February blog looks at exam prep, burnout prevention, and how 1:1 coaching helps students move forward with confidence.

💛 As the end of Children’s Mental Health Week approaches it's important that the conversation continues.

When we teach children how to pause, breathe, and name their feelings, we’re giving them skills they’ll carry into adulthood.

Mindfulness helps children learn:
✨ “I am allowed to feel”
✨ “I can handle big emotions”
✨ “I am not alone”

Let’s keep supporting children’s mental health — not just this week, but every week. 🌈

🌿 The Power of Meditation on Your Immune System

Did you know your meditation practice is doing more than calming your mind — it’s supporting your body on a cellular level?

Research shows that regular meditation can help:

✨ Reduce stress hormones that weaken immune function
✨ Lower inflammation, a key factor in many chronic conditions
✨ Improve sleep quality, giving your body the deep rest it needs to repair
✨ Boost emotional wellbeing, which is closely linked to immune resilience

When we pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves, we’re not just creating inner peace — we’re strengthening our natural defences.

Whether it’s five minutes or fifty, your practice is an act of self‑care that ripples through your whole system.

🧘‍♀️ Your mind and body are always listening. Give them something nourishing today.

💛 It's Children’s Mental Health Week 💛

When children are given space to feel, they grow into adults who know how to heal.

This week is a reminder of the importance of listening, slowing down, and supporting children to understand their emotions — without judgement or pressure.

At Universal Mindfulness, we believe that nurturing emotional wellbeing early helps children build resilience, confidence, and self-awareness that lasts.

Let’s keep creating safe spaces for young minds. 🌱

A reminder that Children's Mental Health starts next week. It's a reminder that Mindfulness teaches children tools for life

🌱 A mindful moment can help a child:
• calm their nervous system
• understand their emotions
• build confidence and self-awareness

It doesn’t have to be complicated — a few deep breaths, noticing sounds, or placing a hand on the heart can help children reconnect with themselves.

Teaching mindfulness isn’t about changing children — it’s about helping them understand who they already are. ✨

This is also a good time to remind you about our upcoming half term mindfulness workshop for children aged 5-11 taking place on Monday of half term.

Next week is Children’s Mental Health Week

Children experience stress, worry, and big emotions just like adults do — but often without the words to explain them.

The week is a reminder that:
✨ Feelings are valid
✨ Emotional skills can be learned
✨ Small moments of mindfulness can make a big difference

At Universal Mindfulness, we believe that when children are supported early, they build resilience that lasts a lifetime.

Let’s create spaces where children feel safe to feel. 💛

Life rarely moves in a straight line — and that’s where the magic lives.
Every twist, pause, challenge, and unexpected moment is part of your growth.

When you meet life with openness and curiosity, even the surprises become opportunities to learn, evolve, and reconnect with what matters most.

Stay present. Stay open. Trust the adventure.

28/01/2026

Life brings highs, lows, and unexpected turns — but mindfulness gives you the tools to stay steady through it all.

By practising awareness and mindful breathing, you create a pause before reacting.

In that pause, emotional resilience grows.

In that pause, you choose calm over overwhelm.

If you’re building healthier responses to stress, you’re already doing the work.

Mindfulness is your anchor.

Our Story

Our aim is to empower people to develop the appropriate emotional intelligence skills to fulfil their own potential.

We work primarily with children, whilst also supporting adults in various capacities such as teachers, parents and business managers. Using Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Mindfulness, we help individuals to understand their own emotions, manage stress, build internal resilience, develop good social relationships and strong self-confidence. Emotional intelligence (EQ), unlike IQ, can be learnt and includes self-regulation, empathy and resilience. Researchers have found that people with high EQ are more happy and successful as they cope better with the stresses and strains of everyday life.

We run after-school clubs in both private and state schools as well as holiday camps and one-to-one coaching for those who need it. We teach useful NLP and Mindfulness tools and techniques to help children be more positive, more resilient, to relax and be more thoughtful of others. We help them understand that they are unique and special in this world and they can ‘choose’ how they react to different situations. We discuss the effects of bullying and how people feel who are being bullied, and how the bully themselves is feeling. We also build up their self-esteem by teaching them to love themselves and be proud of their achievements.

In addition, we offer a variety of adult workshops and one-to-one sessions as EQ skills can be improved and developed throughout our lives. Our workshops aim to help individuals improve their communication skills, manage their stress triggers, cope with stress and anxiety, develop positive habits, increase empathy and live in the moment.
