We are so grateful to all our donors so far donating to our worthy cause, a very big thank you.

When people donate to our fundraiser, they’re doing more than replacing old vehicles, they’re helping us reach more people, faster and more reliably. New vehicles mean fewer breakdowns, lower running costs, and safer journeys for both our team and those we serve. Every contribution directly improves our ability to deliver support where it’s needed most, without delays or limitations.

Our outing yesterday turned into a little adventure! 🌊☕

SEDCAT took a lovely group of clients out for lunch, and our amazing driver went the extra mile (literally!) by taking a scenic detour down to the beach. After a delicious meal, everyone enjoyed a relaxing drive along the coast, topped off with a well-earned coffee by the sea.

Smiles all around, fresh sea air, and great company, moments like these are what it’s all about 💙

Big thank you to our driver for making the day that extra bit special for our clients!

We’re excited to share our fundraising campaign launched to raise funds for new accessible vehicles for SEDCAT. Our Chief Officer Natascha Mc Allister, is stepping up for the 8 Peaks Hike at the Keswick Mountain Festival on the 16th May and needs your support!

For many people with disabilities, getting to vital medical, hospital, and self-care appointments isn’t simple. Accessible transport can be the difference between missing essential care and living with independence, dignity, and confidence.

SEDCAT works tirelessly to support individuals in our community, but demand for accessible transport continues to grow. That’s why we’re raising funds to add new fully accessible vehicles to the fleet and replace some of the older ones, helping ensure everyone can safely and reliably get where they need to go.

Every donation, big or small, will help us move closer to making this happen. 💙

👉 Please consider supporting the campaign and sharing it with your friends and family. Together, we can help remove barriers and keep our community connected to the care they need.

We are incredibly grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for their generous grant in support of SECAT’s core running costs.

The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family founded grant-maker supporting charities operating in a wide variety of sectors across the UK that make a positive difference within their communities.

By supporting our core operations, the Garfield Weston Foundation is helping to ensure that SECAT can continue delivering our work sustainably and effectively, supporting the people and communities who rely on accessible transport services to get them to their vital medical, hospital and self-care appointments and to their social groups and clubs promoting independent living and reducing isolation and loneliness and promoting a sense of community in the local BCP area.

We are proud to have the trust and backing of such a respected charitable foundation.

Thank you for your vital support.

We recently took a fantastic group of young people from MyTime Young Carers on a ‘Day in the Workplace’ to celebrate those completing the Employability course and what an inspiring day it was!

Our first stop was Bournemouth University, where the young carers explored the campus facilities, discovered the wide range of courses on offer and learned about the support available to help them succeed in higher education. It was a great opportunity to see what university life can look like and start imagining future pathways.

We then visited Calcinotto, where staff generously shared their personal career journeys, offering insights and encouragement. The young carers also stepped into the spotlight themselves, taking part in mock interviews and building confidence in a supportive, real-world setting.

Days like this are so valuable in broadening horizons, building confidence, and showing young carers just how many possibilities are open to them. We are incredibly proud that we could provide the transport for this special day.

SEDCAT collaborates with many other Charities in the area providing group transport to special events, if you want more information you can email manager@sedcat.org.uk
