In January I celebrated being 3 months into a 9 month Self Love & Journey – the intention, to move from Fragmentation to Integration. During this first ‘trimester’, a 4 year old version of my inner child appeared to me in meditation, and ‘this is how I grew our relationship.
1. Inspiration – Working through Becoming The One by Sheleana Aiyana
2. Communication - Non-Violent Communication and an Anger Retreat – which really became a Grief retreat. Connecting to my inner child’s feelings and needs and validating her.
3. Comfort - I bought myself a toy! And went to sleep with her in my arms every night. She cane with a name and personality card that matched my little girl so well - K-Dance (Cadence). The card said ‘a bookworm… let the spotlight hit her and see how she shines!’
4. Play, Music, Movement– Handstands, colouring, The Moomins, playing my instruments, completing a 99 Day Dance Challenge and showing up for my body
5. Safety – incredibly deep breathwork journeys with where I connected with 4 year old me and my protector part and met their needs to be heard, plus twice daily Heart Coherent breath
6. Consistency – daily rituals – morning Cacao, reading, journalling with my Child and Protector parts, and bedtime chai
7. Empathy & Connection – Balancing self connection, time alone, with connecting to friends, cuddling Bodhi and new doggie friends.
8. Nature & Gratitude – Spending so much time in nature, collecting treasures, exploring, building altars and finding gratitude for everything.
9. Being in Service to Others – Never quitting, always showing up for the community and myself, now matter how painful things are inside.
I’m already into the second trimester now, and the journey is now with my 11 year old self. Together we’re walking the healing path with grace and trust… Knowing we’re already Whole.
