🎄🐾 Shoutout to Balto the Husky… and every single PAWS dog! 🐾🎄

As we head into the run-up to Christmas—a time that can feel exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between—we just want to celebrate our incredible dogs who show up for young people every single day.

From Balto and his beautiful calming presence, to all the PAWS pups offering:
✨ Animal-assisted support
✨ Fresh-air and motivation
✨ A shift in focus when things feel heavy
✨ Regulation when emotions are hard to navigate
✨ Space to talk… or simply a joyful distraction

These dogs are helping young people through one of the trickiest parts of the year, and we are so unbelievably proud of the work they do (and the humans who support them!).

Here’s to every wagging tail, every soft nuzzle, every moment of connection.
The magic they bring? It’s real. ❤️🐶

Midi’s turn to get the cartoon treatment - Did you know Misu is a Bernese Mountain Dog and was actually named after the popular Italian 🇮🇹 desert 🍰 she loves car rides, shopping, dog ice cream and going to help young people as part of PAWS sessions.

Celebrating Bandit the brilliant Border Collie who does an incredible job for supporting YP with his football skills, compassion and painting prowess - The new academic year has started so expect plenty of new updates from us. 🌞 Wrapping Up for Summer with Gratitude 🐾

As we close the chapter on a sun-soaked and emotionally charged term, we just want to say a huge thank you to our incredible PAWS practitioners. 💛

It’s been hot. It’s been full-on. It’s been filled with big emotions and big wins. Through it all, you’ve stayed committed to our mission of helping young people navigate tricky times—with the unwavering support of your four-legged partners. 🐶💬

☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER REMINDER 🐾☀️

Check out this brilliant temperature chart one of our YP created to show just how dangerous the heat can be for our dogs ❤️

At PAWS, we take every precaution in hot weather – cool mats, extra water, shady spots, and in Rudy’s case, even taking a couple of days off work this week!

Please look out for your dogs (and your young people) in this heat. It’s not easy – so stay cool, stay calm, and work from a place of extra kindness and empathy 💛
