Very privileged to have the Ascot ukulele’s today. They were amazing and it was so beautiful to see everyone singing along and tapping their toes to the classic Christmas songs of years gone by. A very warm Christmassy feeling and it really brightened our day 🎄

We had such a lovely afternoon yesterday visiting Wooden hill primary school for their key stage one nativity play. We work very closely with the school and some of the residents write weekly to the children and then they write back so we love any opportunity to meet up. The nativity play was amazing. Thankyou so much for inviting us along ⭐

Big thankyou to our home manager Mike for being such a good sport today completely out of his comfort zone (although think he secretly enjoyed it) for being an elf for the day and raising £150 for Alzheimer’s society. Lots of fun, laughter and smiles was had today. Big thankyou to everyone who donated as well 🧝‍♀️ ❤️

Please help us to get to £150 for Elf day tomorrow in aid of Alzheimer’s society. The residents (and staff) are very much looking forward to our home manager Mike getting in the festive spirit and dressing as an Elf where he can join Bickerty boo the elf in Elf day antics. We are very nearly there!
Mike has agreed to dress up if we can make it to £150 so please help us to get to this. I’m sure it will be worth it 🙈🤣

Yesterday evening we visited the Royal Marsden garden of light in Chelsea to light a rose for all that have called Bickerton house home and sadly passed away. As the soft glow filled the air, we took time to reminisce — sharing stories, memories, and the laughter they once brought into our lives.
The rose was a reminder of how deeply they were loved, and how their presence continues to live on in our hearts. It was a beautiful moment of reflection, connection, and gratitude for the lives that touched ours in such special ways.
Forever remembered, forever cherished. 🌿✨

This Christmas we are always finding ways to give back to the community and charities.
Bickerton’s wonderful home manager Mike has agreed to dress up as an ELF for Alzheimer’s elf day 2025 on 3rd December if we can raise £150 for Alzheimer’s society. This will be very much out of his comfort zone and so we really want to raise the funds to make this happen. It will also spread some Christmas joy and laughter to Bickerton as he may need to do some guest appearances and maybe a trip to Tesco 🙈. Please help us to make Elf day 2025 as magical for everyone as possible (well maybe not Mike)

On Thursday we will be visiting the Royal Marsden garden of light to dedicate our own rose to everyone that has sadly passed at Bickerton house.

A rose for every heart once here,
For every smile, for every tear.
At Bickerton House their memories stay,
Soft as petals, day by day.
Though they’ve gone beyond our view,
Their love remains—forever true.

Yesterday we donated a few hours of our time to help the Saltshaker appeal packing Christmas hampers for families in need in our area. 1500 hampers will be delivered to the cow shed to be distributed along with toys to families who otherwise would go without this Christmas. It was a lovely morning of festive cheer and community spirit and brought a smile to us all to see so many people come together to help others. This is a great appeal for people in the local area and if you want to help this Christmas please do donate to the link attached 🎄
