During noisy or chaotic times like , the challenges can feel amplified. Veterans and others living with PTSD may experience symptoms that aren’t always visible, but deeply affect daily life: 🔹Being easily startled or jumpy 🔹Struggling with noise or busy environments 🔹Trouble sleeping or remembering things 🔹Irritability or snapping quickly Even everyday family moments, like school runs, meal times, or bedtime routines, can feel overwhelming. Some may avoid activities that could trigger their symptoms like school fetes, sports days, or parents’ evenings, meaning family life can feel fragile or strained. Clinical psychologist Dr. Anouk Houdijk, who works for Op COURAGE – The NHS Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, has written a helpful guide on how to navigate parenting and family life alongside . East Berkshire Primary Care Out of Hours Service

We are proud to provide NHS out of hours healthcare services across East Berkshire for a range of patient needs. We provide urgent medical care when your doctors surgery is closed throughout Bracknell Forest, Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead and Ascot.

We run Primary Care Centres where you can see a GP for a face to face appointment at a time that’s convenient to you as well as Urgent Care Centres and Walk in Centres that allow you to be seen without an appointment for urgent but non-life -threatening situations.

East Berkshire Primary Care Out of Hours Service is available to those living across East Berkshire 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are focused on making sure that all our patients have access to the appropriate service for their needs and receive the best possible care.

At East Berkshire Primary Care, it is our vision to continue to deliver outstanding primary healthcare out of hours to the community of East Berkshire and beyond to enable people to live healthier lives through better access to primary care services.
