✨ Team Update & A Special Celebration ✨

Last week, our Bracknell team came together for our quarterly meeting, where we discussed important updates to ensure our clients continue to receive safe, high-quality, and compassionate care. We shared good practice, reflected on recent successes, and agreed on next steps to support our clients and each other.

After the meeting, we took time to celebrate a very special moment - Alex’s retirement. 💐
Alex has been a valued member of our team for 22 years, known for her great sense of humour, kindness, dedication, and the excellent care she provides. We surprised her with gifts and warm wishes to thank her for everything she has done for our branch and our clients.

Although Alex has now officially retired, we are delighted that she will still be supporting us occasionally by completing a small number of care visits, as agreed. Her experience and commitment remain truly appreciated.

A big thank you to everyone who joined and helped make the celebration meaningful. Moments like this remind us how strong, supportive, and connected our team truly is. 💙

This week we’re celebrating Eleanor, who has been part of our Prestige Nursing & Care family for over 5 years! 💙

Eleanor is one of those people who always brings a smile wherever she goes - reliable, cheerful, and truly dedicated to her clients. Her compassion and positive energy brighten every day, and we’re so proud to share that she was recognised as our Member of the Month for August👏✨

Here’s what Eleanor says about her role:
💬 “I love being a carer as I enjoy having chats with clients who talk to me about their past and what they loved doing when they were young! I think humour is very important and try to ensure I make them laugh and brighten their day!
Social calls are great too as I get them out in the community at cafés and garden centres - they enjoy chatting to people about their doggies and babies, etc.
I like to encourage them to be creative and have done knitting, made cards, and done crosswords with them. Caring is a very rewarding and enjoyable job.” 💖

💚 We’re thrilled to announce that our Macmillan Coffee Morning at Regus raised an incredible £263.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support! 🍰☕

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Regus who supported us by donating and enjoying a slice (or two!) of cake - your generosity will help Macmillan continue their vital work supporting people living with cancer.

It was also wonderful to welcome our amazing carers and clients, who popped in to support the cause and share a slice with us. 💕

We are truly grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive business community. Together, we made a real difference! 🌟

Giving Back, One Step at a Time 🥾💚

Last Saturday, our Branch Manager Marta proudly volunteered at the Cotswold Mighty Hike – a fantastic event supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that provides emotional, practical, and financial help to people living with cancer and their families.

The hike took participants through the stunning countryside of the Cotswolds, finishing with a spectacular view of the iconic Blenheim Palace. It was a day full of community spirit, determination, and breath taking scenery.

A huge well done to all the amazing participants who took part – your strength and dedication were truly inspiring!

Pat reconnects with her past - and meets a VIP too!

Last week, Pat enjoyed a lovely outing with her carer, Eleanor, to community café in Binfield - a place close to Pat’s heart, as she once lived nearby.

She had a wonderful time soaking up the lively atmosphere, chatting with mums, babies, dog walkers, and other friendly faces. She also tucked into a tasty lunch and a proper cup of tea - just how she likes it! 💛

As they were leaving, Pat was thrilled to bump into a very special guest… Sir Winston Churchill - minus his cigar! 😄

Social calls like these make such a difference. They bring joy, fresh conversation, and a break from the routine - proving that it’s never too late to enjoy the little things in life.
