We celebrated Halloween at Howgate this year, and it was so much fun. From finding the little pumpkins around the building and getting a sweet treat, to dressing up and delving into the deadly goo to find a pumpkin and win a prize.

The people who live with us loved it and even though they didn't enjoy putting their hands in the goo, they liked all the prizes. The manager gave staff gifts of pens, books and sweets too.

One of the activities ladies 13 year old son came to help out too. He was a hit with the people who live with us as he has been before.

Hope this makes you smile, there was certainly a lot of smiles on the day.

At Howgate House on Diwali this year, we got a lot of different foods and sweets from India and the lifestyle team wore saris.

The people who live with us were able to try all the different foods and we had bindi's and saris for the people who live with us to try on. We had a great time!

It was World Animal Day on October 4th and we had some lovely fun!

We had a very friendly cat visit our home and have 121s with all those living with us. Everyone loved the cat's company and enjoyed decorating their animal masks!

We had a baking day on the 16th. We made cookies, chocolate chip cookies and buns.

The ladies who attended the baking day assisted staff with the preparation and decorating of the cookies and buns. We had a lot of laughter and the day was really enjoyed by everyone.

The concentration on their faces when they were icing the buns and the cookies was really intense.

This was our September trip to the Science and Media Museum in Bradford. It was so much fun looking around, the old cameras from way back when were really interesting and some of the people who live with us recognised some of them.

There were a few exhibits that were closed due to technical issues but we still had a lot to look at and enjoy.

Some of the exhibits had little videos to watch and some had things to listen to, our ladies and gentlemen found this really interesting. After we finished, we had some lunch at the cafe.

Some had pizza, some had sandwiches and even sausage rolls. We all had a lovely hot drink and when we left we were all full and warm.

When we got back to Howgate they told everyone what they had seen and done.

We would definitely go again as it is a very interesting day out for all the family.

We had our October trip to Robert's Park. The ladies and staff had a really fun time. The driver was amazing as always. He is so good with the people who live with us, he's friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely walk around the park by the lake and around the gardens. We saw lots of squirrels and birds, there were also a lot of babies, little and big dogs, all out for the day with their families.

Everyone had so much fun chatting to people and there was a lot of laughing and some singing as well.

All in all it was a really lovely day.

Here are the rest of the pictures from Teddy Bear day. Patches and some of his little friends took treats round for people who wanted them. Everyone was really happy and I think that Patches will have to return for another day with his owner this time.

We had a doodle day at Howgate House, everyone who wanted to join in got a small canvas given so that they could paint or just doodle on them. Some of the people who took part were really concentrating and some were a little more free spirited with the strokes of the pens or brushes.

It was such a fun day, there was lots and lots of laughter.

As you can see from the pictures one of our beautiful ladies decided to paint a member of staff's face, she put lip liner and some eye liner on her. You can see the concentration on her face, she loved doing it. The pens she was using are tattoo pens so it came off easily.

We had the amazing Trever and his keyboard come to play us some really lovely songs.

The people who live with us had a lot of fun, they were singing and dancing in their chairs, the staff joined in too. There was lots of laughter this afternoon and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

All in all, fun was had by all.

We took some of the people who live with us to St Ives Country Park in Bingley. They really enjoyed the morning. We walked to the lake and saw the ducks, went and sat in the hide and watched the squirrels running around and foraging for food, then to the cafe and had tea and teacakes.

A day of More...Fresh Air and More...Socialising, everyone enjoyed themselves and it was so much fun!

Here is the second instalment of the photography day photos.

It was an amazing day, and people really loved putting the wigs on and when the family's joined in, it was so much fun!

We had lots of laughter throughout the home, and some of the ladies wanted to keep them on for a while. It was so much fun - we are going to do it again soon!
