Aegis Residential Care is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at Lister House and Sherrington House Nursing Homes in Bradford.

This is an excellent opportunity to support our kitchen staff and ensure our residents enjoy high-quality dining in a safe, clean environment.

The Role at a Glance
- Position: Kitchen Porter
- Location: Lister & Sherrington House Nursing Homes, Bradford, West Yorkshire
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Pay: £12.21 per hour

What You'll Be Doing
As a vital part of our kitchen team, you will:
- Assist the Chef with basic food preparation, such as peeling, plating, and making drinks.
- Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene (sanitising surfaces, washing cookware, and general tidiness).
- Manage deliveries and help with the efficient organisation of food storage.
- Collect in service items and ensure all crockery and utensils are washed correctly.
- Help with waste management procedures.
- Take direction from the Kitchen Chef to ensure a smooth, efficient service.

🎃 Happy Halloween from Lister & Sherrington House!

Residents at Lister House and Sherrington House Nursing Homes celebrated Halloween in style this morning with a fantastic spooky treat!

Both homes were wonderfully transformed with Halloween decorations, filling the atmosphere with laughter and joy. Forget the tricks, we only had delicious treats to enjoy!

The day was packed with Halloween fun, including games and creative crafts, and many staff and residents got into the spirit by dressing up!

Lister & Sherrington House Go Pink for Breast Cancer Now

Lister and Sherrington House Nursing Homes in Bradford hosted a 'Wear It Pink' Day to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now. It was a fabulously fun morning filled with residents, staff, and families playing 'Boobie Bingo' (congrats to winner Marie!).

Thanks to everyone who made generous cake and monetary donations! All proceeds will go directly to Breast Cancer Now to fund life-saving research and vital support for people affected by breast cancer.

We were delighted to host the Lilycroft Primary School choir this morning across both Lister House and Sherrington House!

What a morning! We had a wonderful Macmillan Coffee Morning today, filled with delicious treats! Our amazing catering teams baked a fantastic selection of fresh cakes and buns right here in-house.

With the room decked out in green and white, everyone had a fabulous time supporting this deserving charity.

A huge thank you to every client and staff member who attended! We're thrilled with the funds raised for , which will help provide vital support to people living with cancer and their families.
