Hi everyone 🌿
You may remember a few days ago I posted a picture of some lovely flowers my 6 year old found on a walk which in turn brightened up her day.
Many of you commented on my post saying how much this inspired you to take a few moments to notice the world around you and find one calm thing to brighten up your day.
As a result I am looking into developing a community around this so we can share the small but meaningful joys that nature brings us. If you feel this would benefit you please like and add your one moment of joy to this post using the
My own Calm moment happened yesterday whilst, looking out of my window when I spotted this fox quietly sitting in my garden enjoying its own mindful moment.
I wasn’t expecting it at all, and for a moment everything just slowed down.
It got me thinking about how even tiny moments in nature can lift our mood or bring a sense of peace, even when we’re busy or stuck indoors.

Please feel free to share one calm thing you notice in nature by posting a photo or a few words with .
No pressure at all , just a gentle moment to pause.

I’ll start with my unexpected fox visitor 🦊

Hi everyone🌸
Yesterday I was out walking with my daughter when she picked up some fallen flowers on the ground yesterday. She stopped and said “oh aren’t these beautiful mummy! They make me feel happy when it’s raining like it is today.”
We stopped and looked at them admiring all the little raindrops of the petals …a calm moment I didn’t know I needed.

I’m a CBT therapist and I’m really interested in how small moments in nature can support our mental health, especially at this time of year.

After a chat on our walk home my little girl said “Mummy we should tell other people to notice things in nature, it might make them feel happy while the weather is so wet and cold.”….and so we wondered if anyone fancied joining in today by sharing one calm thing you notice in nature that cheers you up or gives you a sense of peace - it could be something you spot on a short walk, in the garden, or even through your window.

If you’d like to join in, post a photo (or just a few words) with the hash tag . No pressure, just a gentle moment to pause.

🌸Please, please share this with others so we can create a community of positivity.🌸

I’ll start with our flowers we found on our wet foggy walk 🌼

I spend a lot of my time outdoors 🍃 - walking, breathing and listening to birdsong, because it quietly supports my own mental health in ways that are hard to put into words. 🫶

So much of anxiety, low mood and trauma live in the nervous system, and the nervous system doesn’t heal through pressure or forcing.
It heals through safety, rhythm, gentle movement, daylight , and being around living things 🪻.

Sometimes a slow walk, a pause beneath a tree🌳, or listening to the birds is not “doing nothing.”
It is your body learning that it is safe again. 🫶

A gentle reminder today to let nature walk beside you too. 🌿

🌸🌱 In a world that often feels fast, noisy and overwhelming, even small moments of stillness can make a meaningful difference to our mental health.
Everyday I try to spend at least a few minutes outdoors, to breath in the fresh air, listen to the birds and appreciate the small changes in the environment around me.
Allowing yourself to take a pause between tasks and spend time in nature can help steady your thoughts and support your emotional wellbeing. 🌿

🎄As the year comes to a close I would just like to say that I am grateful to each and every client who has allowed me to walk alongside them in therapy this year. Your openness, courage, and commitment never go unnoticed.

The practice will reopen on January 3rd.

Until then, I wish you a restful Christmas and a hopeful New Year for 2026.

🌺 A different kind of post today 🌺

Normally I share something about , but today I wanted to do something a little different.

Yesterday after being selected by her Rainbows group, my daughter had the honour of laying a wreath at the Clayton Cenotaph for Remembrance Day. Watching her take part in such a meaningful tradition was a proud and reflective moment especially as a therapist having worked with so many service personnel over the years suffering with PTSD.

Remembrance is about taking time to pause, to honour the courage and sacrifice of others, and to reflect on the values of peace, compassion, and community that so many gave so much to protect.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Remembrance Day 11/11 ❤️

Lest We Forget…🌹
I was so proud of my daughter today when she was chosen by her Rainbows group to lay a wreath at the Clayton cenotaph. It’s so important that the younger generation are involved in the act of remembrance.
