What came first, the chicken or the growth?
If we compare ourselves to the raw chicken, there is goodness there — real potential — but it needs work.
If we stay in that raw, unprepared state, we risk spoilage or even harm, much like undercooked chicken causes food poisoning.
The second chicken has been seasoned and dressed with crowns.
It looks better on the outside, but if it isn’t fully cooked, the same risks remain beneath the surface.
Sometimes, we dress ourselves up to feel better or hide our struggles — and while that may help temporarily, it doesn’t bring true change.
The third chicken has been through the full cooking process.
It not only looks appealing, but it’s also safer and stronger because of the time and care invested.
Even then, it still needs to be looked after — or it too can spoil if neglected.
Just like these stages, we as people need space, time, and support to grow and transform.
Therapy is that safe space where you can prepare, process, and build resilience — so you don’t stay stuck in a raw or half-prepared stage.
Investing in yourself isn’t about perfection; it’s about allowing yourself to go through the process and become the best version of you. 🌱
