Kirstie Update.
She’s been readmitted 😖 as there’s an unpleasant complication that needs resolving asap. After her stay in the BRI she will be starting chemotherapy. I was hoping to get back to my “normal” hours in salon this week but sadly it’s left to Debs & Nick again to hold the fort for the next couple of days 💗

Ive had a number of questions about wood therapy treatments. Hopefully the below will answer some of them.
1. What is Wood Therapy? A non-invasive massage technique, which uses specially designed wooden tools to manipulate and sculpt the body. It contours the body, breaks down fat, cellulite and improves circulation.
2. Does it hurt? As with all massage treatments the pressure applied is dictated by the client.
3. How many treatments will I need? Depending on the issue a number of treatments may be required in the first few weeks followed by regular monthly treatments.
4. How does it help drain the lymphatic system? There are specific shaped wood instruments which are used to glide lymphatic fluids towards the lymph nodes.
5. How does it reduce cellulite? The wooden instruments help break up fatty deposits beneath the skin and connective tissue giving a more toned appearance.

Nick is now fully qualified in Wood Therapy Massage and is taking bookings.
Wood Therapy is a type of massage using different wooden instruments. This is a non -invasive treatment.

Benefits include:
Improve circulation
Improve lymphatic drainage
Reduces the appearance of cellulite.
Can increase metabolism
Reduce Muscle tension

Wood therapy can also be used as an alternative to deep tissue massage.

The salon will be much less rowdy and far more civilised over the coming weeks as the force of nature that is Kirstie Eccles will be AWOL.
The Big C (and we don’t mean the one that comes and jingles your bells…) has made an appearance and Kirst is having a pretty big surgery on 14th August. If all goes to plan the Doc will be back in action just as you start to get used to the peace and tranquility 😉
