Bridge

Bridge Bridge can find the right treatment program to help find a way forward for you or your loved one's needs.

The charity supports people in Bradford affected by substance use, homelessness, domestic violence, poor mental health, and people in contact with the criminal justice system. If you or someone you care for is dependent on alcohol or drugs and needs treatment, it is important to know that no single treatment approach is appropriate for all individuals.

Dom’s Barefoot Endeavour: walking with purpose FUNDRAISER

From plastering and fitting furniture to helping turn empty properties into safe homes, Dom has been part of the behind‑the‑scenes work that helps make stability possible.

After 18 months alongside Bridge, Dom says he’s found a new compassion for people facing insecure housing and trying to cope on their own. He’s seen first‑hand the lifeline support Bridge offers — helping people move towards stable homes, dealing with the practical realities, and walking alongside people facing mental health challenges and drug or alcohol use.

“I can’t describe it,” Dom says. “It’s made me feel grateful for the support I’ve had — and more determined to stand with people who haven’t had that safety net.”

Now he’s training for a barefoot 3 peak challenge - to raise funds for Bridge. The curious looks don’t faze him, but they’ve made him reflect on how uncomfortable it can be to be or treated differently because of poverty or .

If you can, please like, share and/or donate to Dom’s Barefoot Fundraiser and help Bridge remain a lifeline for people facing insecure housing.

The Housing, Health and Care Network was set up two years ago to strengthen collaboration across housing, health and care.

Today, our Deputy Director of Housing attended on behalf of The Bridge Project, joining almost 40 partners to reflect on progress and shape next steps: “I learn something new and make valuable connections every time, it’s networking that leads to real collective action.”

The group agreed the network’s role is to share learning about pathways for vulnerable groups and act collectively, with future sessions potentially focusing on cuckooing and housing pathways for people fleeing domestic abuse.

BBC News highlights why rough sleeping has no quick fix. As our CEO Jon Royle explains in the article, finding housing is often possible — sustaining it is the real challenge. Strong partnership working in Bradford is making a difference, but ongoing investment is what helps people stay safe, settled and connected long‑term.

💙 Thank You to Our Incredible Support Workers at Bridge 💙

This thank you card is from someone you supported through some of the most challenging moments of their life.

They came to the Reconnect Centre yesterday to say thank you - because you listen, believe in them, and you stay alongside them when things feel overwhelming.

The care you show, the relationships you build, and the barriers you help remove don’t always get seen — but they are deeply felt by the people you support.

Thank you to all support workers at Bridge. 🌟
