As many of you may have heard me talk about A LOT, warm-ups are really important, for both preventing injuries and improving performance.

Something I hear as a reason to not warming up is not knowing what to do and the RAMP protocol can help you with that. The 4 phases make sure you are prepared for exercise in a gradual way.

Ideally you want your warm up to be specific to the activity you are about to do and if you need help with this make sure you ask your therapist or coach for help.

❔🤔 When you come to see us for your injury we will chat to you about it first to help us work out what is going on, so it is helpful if you can come with answers to some of these questions that you may be asked:

▫️What aggravates and eases your pain/injury?
▫️When else does your pain come on? (e.g. morning, at night, during exercise, after exercise etc.)
▫️How would you describe your pain? (see an older post of mine to help you with this)
▫️Where is your pain? (this one may seem obvious, but sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint if it is not aggravated at the time of your appointment)
▫️If exercise aggravates your pain/injury, what intensity and type causes this?

Location and hours update!

I am now working at Unique Body Clinic • Wellness Centre 5 days a week and I've posted my hours below. Unfortunately this means I am no longer working at Felsted Sports Injury Clinic, however for those based around Felsted, the wonderful Glen Murphy is still there so go and give him a visit 😊
