Our Christmas window has been finished, and itโ€™s looking great.

Thank you to Karrie for doing a lovely job with the painting. Itโ€™s brought a nice bit of festive colour to the front of the building.

Feel free to have a look if youโ€™re passing by ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Just a quick reminder as we head into the weekend... ๐Ÿคง

If you're feeling unwell with a cold or flu, remember that antibiotics aren't the answer. They don't work on viruses!

Let's all help 'Andi Biotic' keep antibiotics working for when we really need them.

Always take your GP, nurse, or pharmacist's advice. Thank you for helping us protect our community's health!

Most coughs and chest infections get better on their own. But not all of them.

Knowing the difference is vital.

In this essential safety video, Dr Mahmood explains the key 'red flag' symptoms that mean you must contact a doctor for advice.

Please take a minute to learn the signs to watch for, including:

๐Ÿšฉ Feeling very breathless or struggling to speak
๐Ÿšฉ Feeling confused, drowsy, or disorientated
๐Ÿšฉ Coughing up blood
๐Ÿšฉ Having a long-term condition like COPD or heart disease

If you or a loved one are experiencing any of these red flags, don't wait. Please contact the practice through our online service for advice.

Watch now, and please share this video. It's information that could help someone you care about.

*It's World Antibiotic Awareness Week!* ๐Ÿ’Š

At Bramhall Health Centre, we are committed to being looking after your health for the long-term. This means making sure antibiotics work for you and your family when you really need them.

This is why we're supporting the UK Health Security Agency's campaign.

*Why does this matter?* Using antibiotics for the wrong thing (like colds or flu) won't help you get better, and it contributes to the serious global problem of antibiotic resistance.

Swipe through the images to see how you can help "Andi Biotic" keep these vital medicines working:

1. *Don't* take antibiotics for colds and flu.

2. *Don't* save them for later.

3. *Do* take them exactly as directed by your GP, nurse, or pharmacist.

Our clinical team is always here to give you the *right* treatment for the right illness. Let's all work together to keep antibiotics working for generations to come.

Please Pardon Our Dust! ๐Ÿ‘ทโœจ Important Patient Update.

You may hear some construction noise at Bramhall Health Centre today, until next Friday (31st October).

We are so happy to let you know that we are building a brand-new clinical room! This is fantastic news, as it will allow us to provide more appointments for you and your family.

We understand that noise near a waiting room is not ideal, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption this may cause.

What to do:

- If you are at the surgery: Our Reception Manager, Casey, is on hand. Please let her know if you have any concerns.

- If you have an appointment: If you are particularly sensitive to noise or are feeling very unwell, please call our reception team. We are happy to help you reschedule your appointment for a quieter time.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we work to improve your surgery!

From Facebook to face-to-face! ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Here is our brilliant Dr Rajani giving a talk to the wonderful members of the Bramhall University of the Third Age (U3A) last week.

We were honoured to be invited after the group saw our recent online video about dementia awareness. Itโ€™s fantastic to see our health videos sparking important conversations right here in our community.

A huge thank you to Bramhall U3A for being such an engaged audience and for inviting Dr Rajani and our dementia review specialist, Becky, to speak. Openly discussing health topics like this is key to building a supportive and knowledgeable community for everyone.

If you missed the original video that inspired this talk, you can watch it here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19efghq3fH/?mibextid=wwXIfr

What health topics would you like us to cover in future videos or talks? Let us know below! ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐ŸŽˆOur incredible Practice Nurse Sarah brought the fun to our children's flu vaccine clinic last Wednesday!

With a whole safari of balloons ready, Sarah made sure our youngest patients had a smile on their face while getting their flu protection ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ“๐Ÿฎ

We know vaccinations can sometimes be a worry, but our team goes the extra mile to create a friendly, reassuring environment. Did your little one meet Sarah at the clinic? We'd love to hear about it in the comments!

Remember, the flu vaccine helps protect children from the flu, which can be a serious illness. If your child is eligible and hasn't yet received their vaccine, it's not too late! Contact through our online service (https://accurx.nhs.uk/patient-initiated/p88015) to arrange an appointment. Let's keep our children healthy this winter!
