The family of the late Mark Merry have asked us to announce details of his upcoming funeral service.

Of Bream

Our brave and courageous Mark passed away at Charlton Lane Hospital, Cheltenham on 12th February 2026, aged 59 years.
He was with his wife Nicola and daughters Alex and Cait.

He will be remembered as a loving supportive husband and dad, a mischievous bampi to Anouk and Lorelei and someone who faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and dignity, always putting his family first.

His funeral service will take place at the Forest of Dean Crematorium on Friday 13th March at 14.45pm.

A much loved husband to Suzanne and dad to Zak, Andy will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.

Dave was the most wonderful husband, dad, gramps, brother and a friend in life to so many people. Remembered by all with the greatest respect and fondness.

Dave's funeral service will take place at St Paul's Church, Parkend on Thursday 5th March 2026 at 12 noon followed by a PRIVATE burial.

Passed away at her home in Bream, on Wednesday 14th January 2026, aged 91 years.
Devoted wife of the late Alan Miles, much loved and cherished mum of Michael, June, Dave and Jan, nan of Adam and Nicola and “Great Granny G” to Josh, Zach and Maisie.

Her funeral service will take place at the Forest of Dean Crematorium on Friday 6th March 2026 at 12.30pm.

On what has been a rather wet day in the Forest of Dean today, we had the honour of carrying out a funeral service for a lovely gent from Lydney, who's family chose It's Raining Men by the Weather Girls as their recessional music.

This choice of music seemed only far too fitting in the downpours this afternoon and certainly did the opposite of dampening any spirits.

The family of the late Christine Robbins have asked us to announce details of her upcoming funeral service.

Christine “Nanny Chris” Robbins, born in Joyford, Berry Hill 2nd October 1939 and a proud resident of Whitecroft, passed away on 24th December 2025 at Southmead Hospital, leaving behind a family forever shaped by her love and laughter. She was the devoted wife of Derrick Robbins, loving mother to Kevin, Debbie, Lorraine, and Jo, and cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Known for her unmistakable sense of humour, honesty, and warmth, Christine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Peacefully on December 6th, Mark, aged 57 years, of The Tufts, Bream. Mark was much loved by all his family and friends and will be sorely missed from the community.

Mark was a club stalwart at Bream Amateurs FC with a massive contribution as a player, manager and sponsor of both senior and veteran teams.

As we countdown the hours tonight to 2026, we take time to reflect on this year that has gone by.

Heading into the new year can be a difficult time for those who have suffered a loss and tonight we will be thinking of all the families we have served and continue to serve in our local community.

We have been honoured to assist all our families this year and for that we thank you for placing your trust in us to help continue to provide the service we can at the most difficult times.
