Last night's Yoga Nidra session - exactly what we all needed as we head into another busy week. There's something about giving yourself permission to simply rest. Not earning it through a workout, not fitting it in between tasks, just intentionally choosing to let your nervous system restore.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this deeply restorative practice. Your commitment to your mental well-being alongside your physical fitness is what makes this community so special.
This is what your membership gives you access to - not just the movement sessions, but the complete approach to health, fitness and wellness.

December can be challenging when it comes to nutrition. There's sugar, sugar and more sugar everywhere.

Tins of chocolates in the office, mince pies and biscuits at every gathering, festive treats at every turn. Then your colleague tells you that satsuma you're eating is full of sugar too. Before you reach for that selection box instead, let's clear up the confusion - not all sugars are the same.

December's list is full of gifts to buy, people to see, and things to organize for everyone else.

What about you?
FitStart is a 6-week program starting 6th January for women who are new to fitness, returning after a break, or lacking confidence with weights.

Small, focused sessions with a maximum of 4 women where you'll learn proper technique, build sustainable habits, and get basic nutrition guidance. The program includes 5 semi-private coached sessions, finishing with a graduation class where you'll put everything together alongside a few Run Fit community members.
No pressure to be perfect. Just a supportive space to build confidence and discover what your body can do.

Don't leave yourself on the bottom of your list. Be intentional now and gift yourself a great start for 2026.

The festive season gets busy, but staying active doesn't have to be complicated.
Block out time for movement before your diary fills up completely.
Take brief moments between tasks to stretch, walk, or breathe deeply.
Join group sessions to stay consistent through December.
Activity isn't another obligation to squeeze in – it's how you maintain your energy when you need it most.

It might be December, but that doesn't mean you want to stop making improvements to your fitness just because things are busy.

Whether you're running, training in the studio, or wanting to begin your fitness journey - here are four simple things you can do right now that don't need any extra time.

Because progress isn't about perfection or waiting until the 1st January. It's about consistency, even when life is messy.

What's the simplest way to stick to your health and wellness plans in December?
Schedule them into the diary in advance.
Not because you need more discipline (you're already juggling enough), but because making the decision once means you don't have to remake it every single day when you're tired and there's another Christmas social invite or task to be done.
Self-care isn't about motivation - it's about removing the barriers that make it harder than it needs to be. If it's in the diary it will get done and not forgotten about.
Sometimes self-care looks like a warm bath or reaching out to a friend. But it also looks like showing up to Monday Hatha Yoga with Helen at 7:30pm because you booked it in advance and made it easy for yourself.
Your December self will thank you.

December. The month when everything feels like it needs doing yesterday and self-care drops to the bottom of the list somewhere after shopping, wrapping presents and finding time to watch “The Holiday” (best Christmas movie ever!).

But here's the thing - this is exactly when your body needs you to show up most. Not because you need to "earn" rest or burn off mince pies, but because consistent movement and genuine rest help you actually enjoy this time of year instead of just getting through it.

Monday evenings at 7:30pm, Hatha Yoga with Helen gives you 1 hour to properly switch off. No rushing, no performance, just steady movement and space to breathe. It's honestly one of the kindest things you can do for yourself right now.

There's an exhausting mental element to carrying an injury or persistent discomfort that people don't talk about enough.....

The constant background worry. Should I train today or rest? Am I making it worse? Will this stop me doing the things I love? The way it affects your confidence in your own body.

Getting proper assessment and treatment isn't just about fixing the physical issue. It's about lifting that mental burden. Having clarity about what's happening and what to do about it. Being able to trust your body again. That peace of mind is just as valuable as the physical recovery. Our sports injury clinic provides that clarity and creates a plan forward so you can stop worrying and start progressing.
