This role will primarily support the Children’s Neurodevelopmental (ND) Service, which provides assessment and diagnostic services for children and young people up to 18 years of age with potential neurodevelopmental conditions. All referrals accepted into the service are assessed for Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

In addition to supporting the ND Service, you will also provide administrative support to wider Children’s Services, as required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our Powys Physiotherapy service within the North locality (Welshpool base).

You will take a lead role in the assessments and treatment of patients in the musculoskeletal service who may have a complex and/or chronic presentation.

To determine a clinical diagnosis and develop effective and appropriate treatment plans, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner at all times.

To act as a source of expertise on the management of musculoskeletal and long-term conditions and provide advisory service to patients, peers and wider MDT.

To prioritise referrals on a daily basis.

To provide clinical leadership, supervision and training to band 5 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Technicians, Therapy Support Workers and Students.

To occasionally deputise for Team Lead when required.

To support the Team Lead with operational management.

To educate and advise carers/relatives

The base location is to be confirmed but will be situated in the Llandrindod Wells/Mid and North Powys area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and innovative team delivering a broad spectrum of dental services. The successful candidate will work alongside specialist colleagues and benefit from opportunities to develop additional skills within a supportive environment.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) However, part time would be considered. The ability to travel across sites is essential. Applicants must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and hold the appropriate qualifications required for this post.
