Sunshine arrived to welcome children back this week, for the start of our 6th year in the Nature classroom!
We enjoyed games round the fire and tested our rafts in a sparkling river, with all the shades of gold and yellow; celandine, primroses, daffodils and dandelions heralding the brighter days to come. Hooray for the return of spring! ☀️🥀🌿

Today Dosbarth Glas visited Nature Child.

The children have had a wonderful day in nature learning to identify trees by their leaves, creating wonderful natural artwork, learning to light fires, and what a fire needs to stay alight, and experimenting with different quantities of ingredients to create the best daub recipe for a wattle and daub fence. 🍁 🍃 🍂

September is here! Autumn has begun, with lots happening at Nature Child...

🪑 Our lovely bench for nurture sessions has arrived at the Nature Classroom
🌰 We're collecting fallen acorns to make acorn flour!
🥔 Potatoes are being harvested for our in school 'SpudFest' in the next few weeks - keep your eyes peeled for this
🍁 We've been removing the mildew leaves from the courgette plants to enable the plants to thrive and keep producing
🌽 We're eagerly watching the corn which is very nearly ready for harvesting - what recipes can we make?
