• WHAT IS A DOULA? •

Since embarking on my Doula journey I’ve found that there are still many people who are completely unaware that Doula’s even exist. Whilst educating them about the wonderful work that Doula’s do, I find many mothers wishing they had such support for their previous pregnancies.

To my fellow Doulas, let’s continue sharing the wonderful work that we do. The more we share, the more we bring awareness to the huge amount of support that’s available to families.

A few months ago I previously discussed that I was looking to expand my Doula library. Not long after that particular discussion, the opportunity arose to review the Labour of Love by . It’s a fantastic yet informative book that I literally didn’t want to put down. Whether you’re a doula, spouse or a birth partner you will find so many ways to ensure that your mother to be feels supported, informed and loved throughout her entire pregnancy. The book is also so clear and concise for anyone to understand too.

I’d like to thank Sallyann for kindly sending me her book which will I will highly recommend to everyone I know ☺️ and I would also like to thank for allowing me the opportunity to complete this review.

Doulas and Partners can make an excellent team throughout a pregnancy. Both individuals possess knowledge and different skillsets. Combined, these skills are able to provide a mother with the support that she needs.

Intimate knowledge (Partner) + Birthing Knowledge (Doula) = A powerful combination

A partner has intimate knowledge of YOU, they are aware of how you like to be touched, your likes and dislikes and most importantly how you like to be comforted.

During a birth, Doula’s can assist a mother and a partner with the following:

• Help set the tone and create a relaxed and focused birthing space.
•We’re able to facilitate positive communication between yourselves and your care team.
•We can give your partner a break
•Offer in-the-moment information to allow you to make the best decisions

I’m currently looking to recruit a Part Time Virtual Assistant to assist my Private PA service on an ad-hoc basis.

Responsibilities include:

Creating invoices
Creating social media posts for Instagram
Posting content on a website
Appointment scheduling
General administrative tasks

The position would be ideal for a student.

⭐️STANLEYS COLLECTION ⭐️

Stanley is nearly 3 years old and is completely non verbal. His only way of communicating is through makaton (sign language). At this moment in time he is awaiting test results from Great Ormond Street as they think he may have genetic chromosome syndrome.

Stanley’s family have recently embarked on a new business personalising clothing. Stanley’s collection is dedicated to children who are non verbal, have additional needs or anyone who would like to teach there children some kind of sign language ❤️
