For the past couple of weeks, I have been trying to follow a 16/8 intermittent fasting regime, consuming all of my calories in an 8-hour window and fasting for 16 hours per day (water/black coffee/herbal tea only).
For the first few days I have to say I felt like a had a banging hangover whilst my body adjusted, but there are so many benefits of intermittent fasting backed by science, including a key benefit that will aid recovery so I need to give it a try
•
FIGHTS INFLAMMATION
studies show that intermittent fasting for one month significantly decreased levels of inflammatory markers in the body.
Inflammation can lead to a variety of effects, including frequent infections, fatigue, pain, and digestive problems
•
Intermittent fasting is not suitable for everyone, but if you’re recovering from an illness or suffering from one that causes inflammation, this may be for you.
