What a fantastic night at the Vindico Arena on Saturday! 🔥🏒

Last weekend our team was supporting the 's Bath & Bristol Railway Race.

We deployed a paramedic-led ambulance crew, two CRUs, one Technician 4x4, and a staffed medical post to provide comprehensive medical cover for runners taking part across multiple distances.

Our team was kept busy, including a challenging extraction of a runner who sustained a lower leg injury. Our Clinical Lead, ambulance team, and Technician 4x4 attended the patient, and—working alongside the Sector Team Leader—carefully extracted them along a muddy 500m trail and up steep steps to an awaiting stretcher. The patient was then transported to hospital using our on-site ambulance, avoiding any pressure on NHS ambulance services.

An outstanding team effort from everyone involved, highlighting the importance of having appropriate, qualified medical cover at events—not just first aid provision.
