The Christmas Fayre in St. Leonard’s Church is on tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. There are some fantastic stalls here selling a range of crafts and homemade goodies. Entry is free so please come along and have a look around.

We are having some alterations done to the kitchen serving area in our Coffee Shop so have to close for a day. We will reopen at 9:30am on Tuesday 2nd December.

Christmas in Comer Woods - yes it’s that time of the year again! The ladies from the Townswomens Guild have excelled themselves this time with a wonderful Christmas tree display down in Comer Woods which forms part of the self guided tree trail. It’s well worth a visit as other groups have been busy putting the final touches to their displays too.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Outpatients Department! We are delighted to have been able to bring some festive cheer to the area by providing this Christmas tree for everyone to enjoy.

Our Knit and Natter volunteers have been busy knitting poppies, some of which were handed out to ward patients last week by Chris, Rona, Margaret and staff members Louise, Vanessa and Beckie. Today a representation of Coffee Shop volunteers led by manager Verena, took part in the Remembrance Sunday Parade through town and laid a wreath on our behalf at the War Memorial in the Castle Grounds.

Living with dementia - or a loved one is?
Dementia Carer Workshop at Bridgnorth Library on Wednesday 19 November, 10:30am–12:30pm.

The session will be led by Martyn, Home Instead Training Manager, and is designed for anyone caring for a loved one, friend, or neighbour who would like to:

Develop a deeper understanding of dementia
Ask dementia-specific questions in a supportive setting
Learn practical tips, tools, and communication techniques to help make everyday life a little easier for those living with dementia
We ran this workshop around a year ago and it proved extremely popular, we even had a waiting list!

As these are not held often, this is a fantastic opportunity to benefit from Martyn’s experience and insight.

The workshop is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided.

Booking is essential, as spaces are limited. Martyn prefers to work with smaller groups so he can offer more personal guidance and support to everyone attending.

This afternoon we held a ‘Thank You’ get-together for our wonderful volunteers because…..

The air is crisp, the moon is bright,
And spooky spirits fill the night.
But scarier than a ghost's soft peep,
Is work that's done while others sleep!
Through fog and mist, they’ve lent a hand,
The best volunteers in all the land…….

…….well we think they are!!
