We’ve noticed an increase in missed appointments recently, which limits the practice's ability to provide timely care to patients.

We understand that things can change, and sometimes it’s not possible to attend, but if you can’t make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer it to someone else.

We’ve included some ideas below on how you can help:

- Cancel appointments you can’t attend (even short notice helps)
- Use our online services or call the practice to reschedule
- Keep your contact details up to date so we can reach you with reminders

We’d also love to hear from you - do you have any ideas on how we could help reduce missed appointments?

First phone tips 📱👇

1. Ask about what apps, games or websites they use to help you learn what they enjoy and what worries them. You can use these chats to set boundaries.

2. Explore privacy settings on apps and games with your child. You could look at screen time limits, content filters and set up parental controls.

3. Explain they should never feel pressured, scared or uncomfortable online. They can say no to things and adults are there to help.

4. Let them know they can always talk to you and they won’t be in trouble.

5. Make online safety part of everyday conversations as they grow to help keep them safe.

From today, hundreds of thousands of children will start to be offered protection against chickenpox as part of the free, routine NHS childhood vaccinations.

GP surgeries will contact families to arrange appointments.

MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will be in touch when your child is due.
