🌟 New Day Trip Service – Adults 18+ 🌟

We are currently exploring the idea of launching a supported day trip service for adults (18+) with learning disabilities.

Tuesday only

The aim would be to provide safe, enjoyable outings where adults can:
• Visit places like the seaside, garden centres, cafés, bowling, cinema & local attractions
• Build confidence and independence
• Socialise and make new friends
• Enjoy new experiences in a supportive environment

At this stage, we are gathering interest and feedback before putting firm plans in place.

Trips would likely:
• Be fully risk assessed
• Have appropriate support ratios
• Require booking in advance
• Include clear pricing and safety information

🎲 Games Club Update – Thank You! 🎲

Thank you so much to everyone who has shown interest in the idea of a games club for adults (18+) with learning disabilities — the response has been really encouraging.

We’re now:
• Gathering a bit more information
• Looking into suitable, accessible venues
• Exploring possible days and times

Nothing is fixed yet, but we’re hoping to run a small trial session once plans are in place.

If you commented on the previous post or messaged the page, we may be in touch soon with a few short questions to help us plan something that works for everyone.

🎲 Thinking About Starting a Games Club (18+) 🎲

We’re considering setting up a games club for adults with learning disabilities and are currently seeing if there’s enough interest.

The idea would be a relaxed, friendly space to:
• Play board games and card games
• Socialise and make new friends
• Enjoy a calm, supportive environment

This would be aimed at adults aged 18+, with details like location, day, and time to be decided based on interest.

• A chance to socialise and meet others
• Tea, coffee and a calm, supportive environment

At this stage, we’re just gauging interest, so no plans are fixed yet.

At Focus we can are working on ways to achieve this. At this moment we are looking for individuals with a learning disability who would be interested in this service, 18+ only.
