Taunton Half Marathon 2026 😊

We are very excited to announce that a team of runners from Musgrove Park Hospital Eye department are running the Taunton Half-Marathon this Sunday 1st March 2026 to raise money for Somerset Sight. We would like to say a very big thank you to Ed Herbert, Frankie Fusaro, Ed Farrant and Tanya Herbison for taking on this challenge and we wish you all the best of luck on Sunday!
Charlie Park is doing the fun run on the same day.

East Quay Vision are delighted to be celebrating our collaboration with The Hearing Care partnership this March. To mark the occasion, we are holding an open day on Monday 2nd March 2026 between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

* The EQV team members and our private audiologists will be available to talk to and answer any questions
* We will be holding a raffle to raise money for The Guide Dog charity with lots of fantastic prizes available
* We will have a rep from Continental Eyewear with the full range of spectacles to try on
* Spa Medica will be here to help with any cataract referral queries
* Refreshments will be available
* We will be offering a 10% discount on any spectacle orders placed between 2nd-6th March

Somerset Sight Volunteer Visiting Service 😊

Are you looking for a new challenge for the New Year?
Do you have a couple of hours to spare once a week or once a fortnight?
Then we would love to hear from you!

As part of our flagship Volunteer Visiting Service, we are looking for volunteer visitors across the whole of Somerset to provide company and companionship to people living with sight loss in their own homes. We match our volunteers with someone in their local area and our volunteers have flexibility to fit visits in around their existing schedule.

We provide full training and all reasonable expenses are paid.

Many of our volunteers say that they enjoy the visits as much as the people they are visiting!
