THANK YOU HAYLEY 🙏
Another successful Memory Café took place at BWH yesterday. This is now a well established and well loved event happening once a month at our hospital. The café gives people living with dementia a chance to meet, take part in activities, talk and laugh.
The idea came from Hayley, a healthcare assistant, at BWH. Hayley has a passion for delivering high quality, person centred care for all patients and has a special interest in helping people living with dementia.
Hayley, with the help of colleagues Elaine and Hilary, has been delivering the café for over a year now. After this café, she is stepping down from the running of the café as it is now so well established. Last year Hayley won colleague of the year at Somerset NHS Trust awards, the OSCAs, for her amazing work with café.
All at BWH would like to thank Hayley for this inspiring work and commitment, which has brought happiness and benefit to the café guests.
