We have a language called "self talk" its the conversations we have with ourselves everyday! Reality is a projection of the mind, we filter through our beliefs, values and any trauma that we have eperienced and the reality we feel is the resultof that!

But what if I told you that you can change your reality by changing your self talk. your subconscious beliefs and mindset. Our beliefs are just stories that we tell ourselves and sometimes they arnt even our stories to tell. they could be something that we witnessed someone else go through.

Pay attention to the things you tell yourself, question why you have these beliefs and whether they are servving you...

Werm were all brought up differently but the one thing we can be sure of is that we have inherited some beliefs of our parents grandparents and those before them...

Hiw many times were you told as a child "you have to work hard to put a roof over your family's head" or you might have had a parent that was anti the opposite s*x. Whether we like it or not these beliefs can be deep rooted and can actually stop our personal growth and influence the decisions we make every day...

Letting go of these beliefs and creating more positive belief systems can help the generations after you also! Passing down more freeing beliefs to your children can help them lead full and prosperous lives! We think we are protecting them by passing on warnings.

Your mindset is steered by your subconscious! 95% of what you see in your life is dictated by the subconscious mind, which contains things like trauma, belief systems, values and experiences.

Your literally giving the steering wheel to the part of your brain that you dont control, your inner wounded child! Only 5% of your reality is created by coonscious actions.

So why would you not want to delve into that 95% and find out what is really dictating your lifestyle? Well, there is a way to access your subconscious and address these things that are steeing your decision making, which could mean the difference between happiness and just making do.

Heres how you do it! Using techniques such as meditation, journaling and mindfulness you can start to pay attention to your belief systems and where they have come from! It is possible to change our beliefs if we challenge them and look for evidence to validate them...

By doing this on a regular basis (just like excercise) you will start to see improvements in things like, your confidence, self esteem, anxiety symptoms, ease symptoms of depression and you will start to see your life flourish!

Journaling is a great tool for any personal development! When you write you are creating a link between the pen and your psyche. Allowing you to feel emotion towards the words that you write, meaning the process has a bigger impact!

Here are 5 tips for journalling:

1. Just write...let it flow, anything thhat comes up. This is called stream of consciousness journalling, forget about grammer and punctuation and just concentrate on the thoughs that come up. It can help you make hard decisions, sort through the busy nature of everyday life, that can overflow into your subconscious mind.

2. Journal in a morning, studies show that doing this is more beneficial as your mind is not distracted by external factors in your day.

3. Put away your phone! Try not to have any distractions around you, this way you can ensure that what is coming through onto the paper are your deepest thoughts and not passing thoughts of day to day interactions.

4. Do it everyday! Make a habit out of journaling every day, whether that is making a gratitude list every morning or a list of goals and dreams, its important to be consistent,

5. Use journaliing prompts, such as " What am I worried about", "What are my beliefs around (blank)" , "What are my goals and ambitions". By using journal prompts you can help to draw out useful information about your thought processes. It can also help you get really clear on goal setting.

Your reality is the result of you filtering your perception through past trauma, belief systems, your upbringing and life experiences.

While you cant change the past you can identify unhelpful behaviours that are attached to these things, that are creating an undesireable reality.

Such as, avoidance of uncomfortable situations, limiting your life experiences through fear or uncertainty. In order to change your reality, it begins with awareness. Your belief systems dictate your attitude towards life, others and your future. By becoming aware of your attitude towards every aspect of your reality you can start to investigate where these beliefs are coming from.

Excercises such as journaling can help to draw out circumstances, particular events in your life that triggered the way that you perceive certain aspects of life. Once you identify these you can start to work on releasing resentment, unhelpful meanings that were placed on such events and clear any limiting beliefs r behaviours going forward.

When you do this, you will find your reality start to shift, you will be more open to experiencing things you were previously scared of. You will develop compassion towards others, and become more grateful for the smaller things in life!
