As we welcome in the New Year, everyone here would like to thank our local community for the trust and support you continue to show us.

The New Year is a time for coming together, remembering loved ones, and looking ahead with hope.

We are proud to serve our community and remain committed to offering the highest levels of care, dignity, and compassion whenever it is needed.

Please note that our office will be closed on New Year’s Day itself, however our team is always available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should you need our support.

We wish you and your families peace, comfort, and good health in the year ahead.

On 28th December 2025 peacefully aged 83 years of Bridlington.

Dearly loved husband of the late Pam. Also a loving and much loved dad, father-in-law, grandad, great grandad, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a good friend to many.

Service at The East Riding Crematorium, Octon on Thursday 15th January at 2.30pm.

Family flowers only please.

Donations in his memory for Bridlington Lifeboat and Yorkshire Air Ambulance may be left after the service.

On the 19th December 2025, peacefully aged 84 years of Flamborough.

Dearly loved wife of the late Harry, also a loving and much loved mum, mother-in-law, grandma, sister, aunt, great-aunt and a good friend to many.

Will be sadly missed.

Service at The East Riding Crematorium, Octon on Friday 16th January 2026 at 2.30pm.

Donations in Hermione's memory can be left at the service for the Flamborough Lifeboat.

Edith Elizabeth (Edie)

On December 27th 2025 peacefully at St Catherine's Hospice, Scarborough aged 91 years of Bridlington.

Dearly loved wife of the late Albert.

A loving and much loved mum, mother-in-law, nan and a good friend to many who will be sadly missed.

By Edie's request a private cremation will be held followed by her ashes being reunited with Albert in The Priory Churchyard at a later date.

ANTHONY JAMES

On the 25th December 2025, suddenly but peacefully at home aged 80 years of Bridlington.

Dearly loved husband of the late June, beloved son of the late Mary and John Cole, also a loving and much loved dad, step-dad, father-in-law, pops, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and a good friend to many.

Will be sadly missed.

Requiem mass at The Church of Our Lady and St Peter, Victoria Road, Bridlington on Friday 16th January 2026 at 10.00am, followed by interment at Bridlington cemetery.

Flowers or if desired donations in his memory for the British Heart Foundation may be left at the service.

On the 16th December 2025, suddenly but peacefully at The Willows care home in Burton Flemming aged 91 years.

Much loved and loving wife of The Late Norman.

She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral service on Friday 9th January 2026 at The East Riding Crematorium, Octon at 2.30pm.

Family flowers only please but donations in her memory are being collected for Bransby home of rest for horses.

Donations in her memory for the MS Society and Bridlington RSPCA may be left at the service.

Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Service and cremation to be held at the East Riding crematorium Octon on Friday 9th January 2026 at 11.30am.

Donations in Jim's memory can be left at the service for the Scarborough and Ryedale mountain rescue team.

On 17th December 2025 suddenly but peacefully at home aged 52 years of Bridlington.

A dear mum, daughter, grandmother, neice and cousin who will be sadly missed.

A private funeral service will be held.

On the 13th December 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family aged 93 years.

Will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral service to take place at St John the Baptist Church, Carnaby, on Monday 5th January 2026 at 1.30pm, followed by an interment in the churchyard.

Donations in Vera's memory can be left at the service for the continued work of Carnaby Church.
