We’re looking to expand the yoga offering at Bridport Complementary Health (B*H) and would love to add Pregnancy Yoga to our timetable.

Pregnancy yoga can offer wonderful support during this special time — helping to ease aches and pains, improve mobility and posture, support breath awareness, encourage relaxation, and create a calm connection between mother and baby. It can also be a beautiful way for expectant mothers to meet others on a similar journey.

We’re fortunate to have a lovely, cosy, nurturing and fully equipped yoga space here at B*H — a safe and welcoming environment that feels perfect for pregnancy classes.

If you are a pregnancy-trained yoga teacher (or know someone who is) and would be interested in running classes in our beautiful studio, we would love to hear from you.

What a truly beautiful evening we shared at B*H with the wonderful Linda Love, who facilitated a deeply nurturing Louise Hay – Be Kind to Your Mind workshop.

The space was filled with warmth, reflection, and heartfelt connection as Linda gently guided us through the powerful teachings of Louise Hay. Together we explored the importance of self-compassion, positive affirmations, and the way our thoughts shape the way we experience ourselves and the world around us.

There was something very special about coming together in community, taking time to pause, reflect, and remember the importance of speaking to ourselves with kindness and love. Many left feeling lighter, uplifted, and inspired to continue practising these gentle but powerful tools in daily life.

A huge thank you to Linda for holding such a supportive and empowering space, and to everyone who joined us and made the evening so meaningful.

Sometimes the most important words we can hear are the ones we say to ourselves. 💛✨

✨Imbolc Blessings from Bridport Complementary Health ✨

Imbolc marks the quiet turning of the year — the point where winter begins to loosen its grip and the first stirrings of spring are felt beneath the surface. Traditionally celebrated at the beginning of February, Imbolc is a festival of light, renewal, and gentle awakening.

Spiritually, Imbolc invites us to pause and notice what is beginning to grow within us. It is not about sudden change or forced action, but about tending small sparks of hope, intention, and healing. Just as the earth rests while preparing for new life, we too are allowed to move slowly, listening inwardly and honouring our own rhythms.

Associated with St Brigid — a symbol of healing, creativity, and protection — Imbolc reminds us of the sacredness of care: for ourselves, for one another, and for the paths we are walking.

At B*H, we hold this season as a time for gentle support, reflection, and nourishment. May this Imbolc bring you warmth where things feel cold, light where things feel heavy, and trust in the quiet beginnings that are already unfolding.

As a new year quietly opens, we find ourselves still in the heart of winter.
This is not a time for rushing forward or forcing resolutions, but for stillness.
For listening. For resting deeply in the dark, fertile pause of midwinter.

Nature is not asking us to bloom yet.
It is inviting us to slow down, to restore our nervous systems, to gather warmth and strength beneath the surface. In this season, rest is not indulgent — it is essential.

Each day, we’ll be offering something to help you move, breathe, and connect — whether you join us in person at our South Street studio or online from home. Expect gentle flows, calming breathwork, mindful movement, and moments of stillness designed to nourish both body and mind.

About Bridport Complementary Health

There has been a treatment room on this premises for many years now, providing the people of Bridport with a variety of different therapies. Bridport Complementary Health aims to continue this tradition, delivering a useful cross section of therapies, by practitioners who are fully trained in their particular areas of expertise to a high standard. Our aims are to ensure that clients visiting practitioners at this clinic will experience a good quality of professional service delivered in a comfortable and relaxing space.
