'Gratitude'
Two years ago I had surgery that gave me a second chance and for that I feel immense gratitude.

I spent my time in recovery carving bits of wood and these are two of my gratitude people who remind me.

In a busy life it can be easy to forget the joy, so here's to some joy and gratitude 😁

The woods were so lovely I had to sit down amongst the ferns and touch the earth.
A little bit of forest bathing and a great way to feel more grounded.
It's really good to do this if you feel anxious or overwhelmed and can get outside even for a few minutes.

I think this is a brilliant quote.
It suits my thoughts today and comes up frequently in my work.
Something happens and we react, often later wishing we had handled it differently.
When we manage to pause, we give ourselves the opportunity to decide what to do or say, usually with an alternative outcome.
Tricky to achieve in the moment, but worth considering.

It feels different this morning. The air is cooler and the ground damp.
It feels like autumn is on its way, but by the time I took this photo the sun was hot again.

As autumn approaches maybe now is the time to start the therapy you have been thinking about. Holidays are nearly over, kids back at school and university, more time for yourself again perhaps. September always feels to me like a good time to start something new. Time to give some focus to what is troubling you.

It's said that a change is as good as a rest.
I got out of bed on the wrong side today, so decided me and Nelly needed to have a change.
Gorgeous wild sea, wind in my hair, coffee in my van and I even did a painting.
Things felt much better.
