🌟 What a fantastic weekend for the Bridport team! 🌟

We had a brilliant time attending a series of informative presentations and lectures — from an inspiring talk on Menopause in the Workplace to an in-depth session on Dry Eye. We all came away having learnt so much! 👓✨

In between sessions, we caught up with many of our amazing suppliers who showcased their expertise and the latest styles and models in their spectacle frame ranges — so much exciting new eyewear to explore! 😍

And of course, we rounded off the day in style with a delicious three-course meal, followed by a lively disco and a fun casino night! 🎉💃🃏

A huge thank you to everyone who made it such an enjoyable and educational weekend! 🙌

If you already have dry eyes, central heating may make them worse. Here are some simple steps you can take to minimise the discomfort caused by dry eyes in the colder months:

🥵 Lower the temperature in rooms when possible.

😆 Blink more – many people find that their dry eye gets worse when reading or using a computer. This is because we blink less when we are doing anything that needs a lot of visual attention.

🏠 Use a humidifier. Opening windows for a few minutes on cold days will also help.

👁 Lubricants. Ask us whether lubricating eye drops may be helpful for you. We stock a wide range of different brands.

👁️‍🗨️ Consider using a heat mask. We stock ones which can be heated quickly in the microwave but also have Instant Heat Masks for those of you that don't have microwaves!

The treatment for dry eyes depends upon the cause, so it is important to speak to your optometrist if your eyes feel dry.
