Hi everyone!! 💕

I’m just starting back to classes this week (in Brighton) with my first mum & baby postnatal yoga happening this Friday 1pm and then also on Mondays 10.30am from next week.

Classes give you a lovely place to hang out with other mums & make friends, whilst recovering postbirth AND build up your strength and fitness in a SAFE and considered way.

👌Specific practices help with c-section recovery, episiotomy healing, bladder issues, separated tummy muscles or even prolapse.

👍 Everyone’s welcome, ideally from 6weeks post a vaginal birth or from 8weeks post a c-section birth - right up to around 1yr or when your baby is fully on the move!

🥰 I’ve been teaching these classes for 17yrs so you are in safe hands; classes are fun and focus on you, so you get a bit of care and much needed time out. Plus we do some nice movement and singing for the babies when they’re big enough to join in - this is also really cute!! 🫶

✨ How can pregnancy yoga benefit you at this precious time? ✨

👉 Pregnancy yoga reduces stress and anxiety! Pregnancy can be a stressful time, but practicing yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety levels. This can be beneficial for both the mother and the baby 💕

👉 A regular pregnancy yoga practice improves flexibility and strength, which can be particularly helpful during labour and birth. Being mobile and able to move comfortably will aid your baby’s descent so much and allow you to really respond to your body’s needs during birth.

👉 Pregnancy yoga can help alleviate common pregnancy symptoms such as back pain, nausea, and even insomnia. Classes are packed with postures to help soothe the nervous system, relax the mind and find comfort in the body at the same time.

👉 It promotes relaxation! The relaxation techniques used in pregnancy yoga can help promote better sleep and improve overall mood thanks to the stress release yoga offers. Relaxation is a key part of preparing for a positive birth and yoga offers that time and space during your week to allow yourself to do this 🧘‍♀️

👉 Practicing yoga can help mothers connect with their baby and become more aware of their body and the changes that are occurring. Bonding with your baby during pregnancy helps to feel excited about your journey together and keeps those oxytocin hormones flowing 😍
