💙 Did you know that for every 13 babies born in the UK, one will be born prematurely?

🙏 Today is which is an opportunity to raise awareness of premature birth and its impact on families.

🥰 Here’s to all the little ones who started their journeys a bit earlier than expected. And to all the parents of babies in the NICU we are sending you love and strength.

💙 No-one ever expects to end up in the NICU which means that most people aren’t prepared for it at all and have no idea what to expect.

🥰 If you’ve spent time with your little one in the NICU what advice would you give to other parents going through the same thing?

🙏 Let us know in the comments.

Happy 33rd to my son, who continues to make the world a better place just by being in it. I’m so grateful for the man you’ve become. Proud doesn’t even cover it ❤️❤️❤️

👀 Did you spot the danger?

The answer: this little one is wearing a thick, puffy coat in their car seat.

🚗 It might seem harmless but bulky coats can make car seats far less effective in a crash. That extra padding means the harness isn’t snug against your child’s body, even if it looks tight.

👍 Here’s a quick way to check if a coat is too bulky:

Step 1: Buckle your child into their car seat with their coat on and tighten the straps.

Step 2: Without loosening the straps, take your child out, remove the coat, then buckle them back in.

‼️ If you can pinch the strap between your fingers, the coat is too thick to be worn safely.

Instead:

👉 Pop a blanket over them once they’re strapped in
Or use a car seat-safe cover to keep them cosy and protected

🙏 Please TAG a parent and SHARE to help spread this important safety tip. Let’s keep our little ones warm and safe this winter.

⚠️ Urgent recall: M&S baby sleepbag

M&S is recalling its Stripe 2.5 Tog Baby Sleepbag due to a strangulation risk. The neck opening is too wide and does not meet UK safety standards.

The product was sold online and in M&S Clothing and Home stores.

😩 Just when your baby was starting to sleep for longer periods… BAM! Night wakings, nap refusal and daytime fussiness takes over!

🧠 At around 4 months, your little one’s brain is growing fast! They’re learning new skills: hand-eye coordination, tracking objects, recognizing faces, reaching for toys, and even starting to babble. They may dribble more too (which doesn’t necessarily mean they are teething!).

🙃 Try to remember: This isn’t a setback - it’s a progression. Your baby needs comfort, reassurance, and lots of love right now. Take care of yourself too and rest when you can.

💕 Hang in there. This challenging phase will pass, and your baby is learning so much every day!
