Our Story
Are you struggling? Feeling anxious? Depressed? Stressed?
My name is Louise Shuttleworth and my aim is to offer you a safe supportive space to explore your feelings and offer you a place to make sense of them.
I trained as a UKCP Integrative Psychotherapist at Regents College in 2002. Since then, I have gathered over 8000 hours of experience supporting a wide range of issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, anger and relationship issues. I offer both short and long term therapy to adults, young people, children and families. I work in conjunction with a number of health insurers including BUPA, Axa PP, Aviva.
Over the last ten years, I have added further trainings including Supervision, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy to near completion, Theraplay and EMDR Levels one and two, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) for eating disorders. I work in triage with psychiatrists and GPs to support non CAMHS referrals.
My experience ranges from working within a post rehab clinic, 2 years supporting young people within NHS settings, working in schools both primary and secondary. I am also an adoption counsellor under LINK Barnados, now a legal requirement for those who have been adopted. I have a full DBS check and am fully insured for working with children and young people.
