Olivia Florence

Olivia Florence Fostering connections between the mind, body and our community This led her to complete her Yoga Teacher Training in 2016.

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Olivia Florence has managed to build a career upon forging connections between great minds and fresh ideas. Whilst completing her honours in Psychology and Sociology, Olivia co-founded The Psychedelic Research Society at Sussex University. Hosting weekly workshops and guest speakers from around the world, including Dr Robin Carhart-Harris and Dr Matthew Johnson from Johns Hopkins University. Her particular area of interest is psychedelic medicines and other forms of holistic therapy that encourage deep neurological shifts, fostering a greater a sense of belonging and purpose. Olivia believes that in order to create change in our own lives we need to understand the delicate balance between our internal world and external experiences. By developing a loving relationship with our bodies we are better able to overcome the inevitable challenges we are yet to face. Olivia has also worked for several years in harm reduction for outdoor events around the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Yogic Philosophy is based on the belief that mental and physical health are interrelated, and should be conditioned together. Our classes at Yellow Yoga attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind.
