A Musical Afternoon of Name That Tune 🎶😊
Our residents had a fabulous time this week enjoying a lively game of Name That Tune. The lounge was filled with excitement as everyone gathered together for a musical afternoon full of fun, laughter and a little friendly competition. Residents Margo and Ann were right at the heart of the activity, with Margo even singing along during the session and bringing an extra spark of joy to the room🎤✨
As each song began to play, residents listened carefully, tapping their feet, humming along and eagerly calling out their guesses. Some tunes were recognised within seconds while others had everyone thinking hard and sharing clues with one another. Margo shared that the singer in the clip was brilliant and that they loved listening to old style songs while playing Guess the Tune together. It was wonderful to see the teamwork, encouragement and shared joy as memories were sparked by familiar melodies 🎵😊
Music has such a powerful way of bringing people together and this session was no exception. Songs from years gone by prompted stories of dances, special occasions and favourite artists, creating beautiful moments of nostalgia and connection. Activities Coordinator Kayleigh said it was so lovely to see the residents so engaged and having so much fun as they sang along to well loved classics and celebrated each correct answer with cheers and applause👏🎶
It was more than just a game. It was an afternoon of reminiscence, friendship and happiness, proving once again how music can lift spirits and create truly meaningful moments together 💟🎵
