πŸ“’Finally some garden news! πŸ“’
We are so close to realising our dream of opening our community garden πŸͺπŸͺ΄ 🌳🌷🌱
BUT WE NEED YOU πŸ§•πŸ½πŸ‘©πŸ»πŸ‘¨πŸΌπŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ¦°πŸ‘³πŸ½πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±πŸ‘΅πŸ»πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ¦°πŸ§”πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ¦±
We want to introduce a committee to ensure the community voices are heard when making decisions about our garden.
Do have a a bit of spare time and would like to be involved in a fantastic community project? We will meet occasionally face to face to discuss and vote on important decisions. There may be some fundraising opportunities/collaborations but it’s ok if you just want to do hands on practical work in the garden, we need that too!
We want to make this community garden something that Mile Oak can be proud of for generations to come. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more πŸ’š

Do you live in a council property with damp?

Support with tackling damp and mould in council homes

Brighton and Hove City Council have shared information to help residents report issues of damp and mould in council homes. These problems can seriously affect health and wellbeing, and they want to ensure every council resident feels empowered to speak up and get the help they need.
You can help by:
β€’ Reporting damp / mould issues: direct us, the council’s Housing Repairs Helpdesk:
Tel: 01273 294409 Email: repairs.helpdesk@brighton-hove.gov.uk
Please provide tenant name, address, room(s) affected. Also, any photos would be very helpful.
β€’ Spread the word: Share information with your staff and patients about how to report damp and mould.
β€’ Encourage reporting: Let residents know they won’t be penalized for raising concerns.
β€’ Support vulnerable residents: Offer help to those who may struggle with reporting, such as older adults or those with language barriers.
Your support can make a real difference in ensuring safe, healthy homes for everyone.
