Swanborough House continues to shine through the festive season!

Residents have made streams of paper chains to hang up all around the house. They also enjoyed creating a Christmas postbox to post their Christmas cards to their loved ones.

A 'Coping with Christmas' workshop was run to provide some extra support to residents, as this time of year can be extremely difficult for some.

Over the weekend, Renovo Care Group celebrated Guy Fawkes Night across all four sites. Our residents, patients and staff enjoyed a fun night that featured a marvelous fireworks display and a tasty BBQ.

A special thank you to the staff that helped organise this amazing event and those who contributed towards a wonderful night.

Join Dr Rose on the 24th of November at 13:00 as she explores Inappropriate sexual behaviours after acquired brain injuries.

Disorders of sexual function are relatively common after ABI but it is often inappropriate sexual behaviours that present as the most challenging and cause the most distress to family, friends and carers.

This webinar aims to cover the different causes of sexually inappropriate behaviours, identify strategies for establishing boundaries between client and carer, define strategies for working with clients around social skills and effective ways for responding to inappropriate sexual behaviours.

The Renovo team at Swanborough House is really embracing the spooky season 🎃

We have arranged a spooktacular Halloween party for all residents, including pumpkin carving, a creepy treasure hunt, freaky bingo, frightening pass the parcel and much more!

The residents have enjoyed decorating the lounges with scary figures and drawings to prepare for the party later this week.

In our discussion group at Swanborough House we looked at the Stonewall Community Foundation website resources to talk about peoples experiences and then about how we might feel if a loved one came out. There was so much love, compassion and empathy in the group ❤️

One of our team members shared her personal story as well - a very uplifting end to our session.

At Swanborough House we have been reading staff and service user birthday poems from this booked edited by Allie Esiri and using art to create our own three word poems.

We have opportunities for Rehabilitation Facilitators with a passion for supporting individuals to gain skills, get out and about locally and enjoy their lives! If you have experience in social care and are looking for a change we are waiting to hear from you! Full Time? Sure! Part Time? Also a yes! No experience? No problem! We will train and support you.

To support our care team in delivering excellent services, we are also looking for a Chef (full time) and a Domestic (part time - school hours).

If you want to be our chief cake-baker and can produce high-quality, home cooked meals we have the perfect job for you!
